Kurtis' award winning career began at the age of 13. With a $100 loan from his grandfather, his path was set. Gigs included a church fashion show, school dances and literally every house on UMD's "Fraternity Row." From there, Kurtis expanded his resume' to nightclubs... In Washington, DC, ("Tracks DC" was his weekly Friday residency) and in NYC, "Webster Hall" & "The Palladium." After those experiences, Miami nightclubs were next up with "The Clevelander", "The Fat Black Pussycat" & "Glam Slam" (Prince's Nightclub), being the backdrop.
